President Donald Trump has kicked off a month-long blitz of campaign stops in Republican-leaning states, including an event coming up Monday in Nebraska.

On Thursday, Trump told an “adoring, boisterous” crowd in Oklahoma to vote like he’s on the ballot. He said the same thing in Alabama, where he spoke to about 8,000 supporters in Mobile. In Ohio on Saturday, Trump said the midterm results would be a “big surprise.”

The first events in the closing stretch of the midterm election campaign suggest his strength with swing voters is limited, as even some Republican candidates seek distance, political analysts said.
